My path to founding VitalLoop was paved by over 15 years of service as a U.S. Marine combat photographer. That career taught me two vital lessons: how to see the "big picture" in chaotic environments and the profound importance of documenting the truth. After retiring from the Marine Corps in 2015, I returned home to Springfield and turned that lens toward our local community. I saw a disconnect in how we managed our resources, and I knew we could do better.

After a decade in retail management and finding success as an entrepreneur, I realized that true sustainability required more than just good intentions—it needed precise, scalable systems. That’s why I founded VitalLoop. We moved beyond the traditional "hauling" model to create a circular ecosystem that connects the community to the earth.
